We have begun the 2009 edition of the OMTS journal club on the third Monday
of the month. We are trying to help bridge the gap between research and the clinic with a format that will rely on the
PICO formt of clinical question. The use of a real patient question will help us decide the article that will be discussed.
The first article this year was Tseng et development of CPR for cervical manipulation presented by Eric. He utilized
the format and created a CAT that you can download from the link below.
The design will be approximately 30 minutes article presentation with the rest
of the hour discussing clinical relevance and implementation. We will provide the first article and lead the discussion.
It is hoped that other participants will subsequently suggest and present articles of interest. The goal is to
assist in the implementation of current research and evidence into our practices.
The anticipated monthly fee is 50 dollars for one computer link-so if you have more than one clinician and would like to
participate we can accomodate you for slightly less per person. Initially we will only have 9 lines available so your
participation is on a first come, first serve basis. If the response is greater than this, we will have the capacity
to increase the size of the club.
We are looking forward to this continuing opportunity to share current ideas and research in order to stay abreast of all
the advances that are occurring daily!
