Orthopedic Manual Therapy Seminars was founded in 2001 by Jim Beazell, site coordinator for UVA-Healthsouth Outpatient Clinic in Charlottesville, VA and recipient of the HealthSouth 2003 Clinician of the Year Award, in order to develop the Long Term Orthopedic Manual Therapy Course.   This 1 weekend/month, 6 month course was developed and is taught by Jim Beazell, DPT, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT, ATC, and Eric Magrum, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT.   The goal of the course is to provide a comprehensive  learning experience which resulted in significant advancement of  skills of examination and treatment as well as a sound clinical reasoning process in order to develop a more efficient and effective clinician.

We initiated our first Long Term Manual Therapy course in 2002.
We are proud to announce the accreditation of the University of Virginia-healthsouth Orthopedic Residency by the Americal Physical Therapy Association.

Orthopedic Manual Therapy Services was founded in order to provide high quality continuing education services for physical therapists with an emphasis on manual therapy and exercise.  We believe in developing the tools for physical therapists to continue to grow and excel in the current market.  We hope to foster the ability to continually expand the therapists' skills and abilities to the highest level.
